Former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick launched Bridge Together, a new initiative from Democratic super PAC American Bridge 21st Century that aims to empower grassroots activists in next year’s midterm elections and beyond.

“Bridge Together is about permanent ongoing capacity building, so trying to get [groups] resources right now, so they can start to staff up right now, so they can start to organize right now [and] so they can do fundraising and information sharing right now,” Patrick said.

Working with 1ooo Women Strong, the Bridge Together Initiative supported organizing efforts in the January 2021 Senate runoff in southwest Georgia.

The funding will help 1000 Women Strong connect Black and brown voters that are often overlooked in our communities with trusted information and resources.

Through a targeted canvassing and digital program, 1000 Women Strong is engaging Black women households to build on the record turnout in Virginia in 2020.  Bridge Together looks to add to the collaborative capacity building and organizing in the region.
