Commissioner Jeffery Haynes coordinated Earth Day in partnership with the Early County Commission, City of Blakely and 1K Women Strong, Inc. to honor local farmers.
The Early County Board of Commissioners honored Earth Day and Georgia Cities Week by planting four shade trees in each of its cities’ downtowns.
On Tuesday, April 22, the cities of Arlington, Blakely, Damascus and Jakin received four Bosque Elm trees, which will be planted in public spaces to provide shade and beautification of the city – and benefit the community. The Commission thanked its cities for all they do everyday to make Early County a great place to live, work and play.
