We're hiring a Georgia State Organizing Director to lead our organizing work across the state. This role coordinates regional organizers, strengthens partnerships statewide, and ensures Georgia's work aligns with national priorities while reflecting local needs.
This is a good fit for someone who knows Georgia's organizing landscape, brings strong relationships and practical organizing experience, and leads with a collaborative approach.

What You’ll Do
● Lead and coordinate 1000 Women Strong’s organizing work across Georgia
● Supervise and support Regional Organizing Directors
● Build and maintain relationships with Georgia-based organizations, advocates, and community leaders
● Represent the organization in coalitions, meetings, and statewide gatherings
● Help carry national organizing priorities into Georgia’s local context
● Share updates and progress with the National Organizing Director
Role Logistics & Expectations
● Participate in team, department, and role-related meetings connected to the work
● Have access to a laptop and cell phone for remote work
● Submit activity updates, calendars, and agreed-upon reports on time
● Use the organization’s project management tools (such as Asana or similar)
● Keep an up-to-date Google Calendar with meetings and availability
● Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-state travel
Who This Role Is For

● Have organized across more than one region of Georgia
● Are already connected to organizers, advocates, faith leaders, or community groups in the state
● Know how to build trust and work with partners
● Have experience managing organizers or field staff
● Can work independently while staying connected to a national team

● Remote position based in Georgia
● Travel within the state is required
● Some evening and weekend work during active organizing periods
